I had a special bond with Mabel Lou, both as a musician and a friend. She once gave me her late husband's oboe music, because I play oboe at her church occasionally. I was quite moved by this and will always cherish this link with her. She leaves a huge gap in her church as a kind, friendly, and ageless woman. Her memory will always be fresh with us all who knew her

I am so sorry to hear of Mabel Lou's passing. She was such a ray of sunshine. I had the wonderful opportunity to bowl with her in several tournaments and she was always so encouraging. Heaven has another angel. God Bless her Family with wonderful memories.
