Although we didn't know Mr. Brown well, my kids loved going over with Chuckey to Farmer Browns Barn to see his cows & kitty's .....he probably never knew that he put Big smiles on faces of children that he really didn't know.

We all have very fond memories of Mr. Brown; he was a great man, a great coach, principal, and teacher at Capron Grade School. He treated everyone with kindness and was always a fair man. If you got in trouble, you deserved it!
He was a great influence on our whole family throughout our K-8 years. Our sympathies go out to Mrs. Brown, Cheryl, KC, and Jeff; we all lost a great leader!

To Lorraine, Cheryl, KC & Jeff:
I was so sorry to hear of Mr. Gene Brown's passing. There are so many memories of the many years of three Browns on the staff and six Browns as students at Boone-LeRoy/Capron Grade School. The time we spent together in 4-H and riding horses at your farm are some of the best of my childhood. Mr. Brown had a big heart that he shared with the whole community of Capron. He leaves a legacy with all the generations of students who experienced his firm, but caring guidance. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

It saddens me to hear of Gene Brown’s passing. Outside my immediate family, Gene was the first mentor of my developing years and I’ll always remember his wonderful smile. He was an excellent role model, teacher and coach who taught me to keep working hard to achieve my goals especially when confronted with adversity. Gene Brown had a profound impact on my life and I’ll always be grateful for that. Goodbye Coach. May God bless the Brown family in this difficult time.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Mr. Brown left a such a positive infuence on me as a child, I wish their were more administrators like him today. I will always remember his smile and kindness he showed for children while demanding good behavior and respect. He has left a lasting legacy on so many in the community that will carry on for many years to come.
