Rev. Maciej Remigiusz "Matthias" Wronski

Rev. Maciej (Matthias) Remigiusz Wronski died peacefully on Monday, May 7, 2012, in his 72nd year.

Father Wronski was ordained on March 11, 1967 for the Diocese of Plock in Czermno, Poland by Most Reverend Bogdan Sikorski, and served for thirteen years in Poland as assistant priest. In 1980 he came to serve in the Diocese of London and was incardinated October 6, 1983. During his twenty-eight years of ministry in our diocese, he served as Associate Pastor at St. Martin of Tours, London, St. Peter's Cathedral Basilica, London, Sacred Heart, Ingersoll; and as Pastor at St. Cecilia's, Port Dover, St. Boniface, Zurich, St. Mary of Perpetual Help/St. Joseph Mission, Listowel, and Holy Cross, Woodstock; and as Priest-Chaplain at University Hospital, London and to hospitals/nursing homes and the Ursuline Sisters in Chatham.

Visitation will be held at O'Neil Funeral Home (350 William Street, London) on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 7:00-9:00pm; prayers at 8:00pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church (419 Hill Street, London) on Friday, May 11, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Interment in his mother's grave in Poland.
