Mackenzie Jarosz Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 8, 2004.
Mackenzie Paige “Mac” Jarosz, 11, of Hutchinson Road, Attleboro, a fourth grade student, died on Sunday, March 7, 2004 at her residence.

Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on December 31, 1992, she was a daughter of Rod Edward and Karen Michelle (Motter) Jarosz. She was a lifelong resident of the city of Attleboro and was a fourth grade student at the Peter Thatcher Elementary School in Attleboro. Mackenzie was a member of the “Come Back Kids” of the Attleboro Council for Children.

Her favorite past time was eating especially “cheese hamburgers” at McDonalds and Wendy’s and also enjoyed visits with family members to Dunkin Donuts. She enjoyed large books like magazines and catalogs. Mackenzie’s favorite color was purple and she was a fan of “Barney”.

She also loved attending school, spending time with family and friends, riding her bicycle, her cats, rides in jeeps and crossing over bridges. She found the sound of guitar music comforting and relaxing. Mackenzie was a gold medalist in the Special Olympics having won a gold medal in 2002 and again in 2003 in the 10 meter walk-run.

In addition to her parents, she leaves a sister: Whitney A. Jarosz of Attleboro; maternal grandparents: David Motter of Flemington, Pennsylvania and John and Patricia (Keen) Fleck of State College, Pennsylvania; paternal grandmother: Shirley Ann (Murray) Jarosz of Pawtucket; maternal great grandparents: Ernest and Rhea (Kline) Keen of Flemington, Pennsylvania; paternal great grandmother: Ethel Jarosz of Pawtucket and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Dear Rod, Karen & Family:

I'm very sorry that I couldn't be there. I find it very hard to go through the doors. So I'm on the outside looking in. Bad enough when it's an adult, a child is differcult to say goodbye to. My heart goes out to you. I know that she's at a better place doing all the things a little girl should be doing. Love Linda

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of sorrow. Mackenzie touched my heart the few times I saw her at Pams. Her smile and spirit really made an impact on the people she came in contact with throughout life. I hope with time knowing people care will ease the unbearable pain you must feel now and the memory of her will bring peace. With Deepest Sympathy

Rod,

My sincerest sympathy and my heart goes out today to you and your family. There are a small handful of people in our business whom I respect both personally and professionally and you have been included in that group since we first met in 1995. I will never understand why such sadness has to come to the nicest people...

My heart is heavy with sorrow. It will be difficult to ride the bus everyday without my "Macaroni" asking me to take her to Wendy's for a cheese hamburger or to Dunkin Donuts for coffee with cream and sugar! I will miss her spontaneous hugs and kisses, her laughter and even her screaming! I looked forward to her (usually)smiling face everyday, her drooly kisses goodbye in the afternoon, her "careful of the curb", "see you tomorrow", and "Deb, want some music?".

I was blessed to know her for a short time, and will hold her forever in my heart.

I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.
