Madeline, I remember the first time I saw you on Princeton road running around with such energy and freedom. You were a burst of energy and life. Then, you got sick. So unfair. So sad. So unbelievable. And then, you took all of that extra energy I saw and fought so hard, longer and harder than anyone I've ever met. You were and are an inspiration. You touched my life. My girls and I love you. Be free from pain and discomfort and I will do all I can do to comfort your Mom and your loved ones. I'm sure my Mom in Heaven have already welcomed you dearly. We miss you her on Earth but sure you are running free from pain and looking just like I saw you for the first time on Princeton rd. I can see you hugging all of the animals right now. Thank you for your love here on Earth.

Maddie was a wonderful student; I had the pleasure of teaching her in two Child Development classes at SRJC. Her determination to accomplish her goal of becoming a preschool teacher, in spite of many health challenges, was truly an inspiration to her fellow students. I will always remember her with great affection.
