Dear family, I learned only today that Maddie had passed away. I do not have words that will comfort you. I can say that I know within the deepest part of my heart that you were the best possible parents and love was never in question. Your children like mine had only the best in grandparents. Nancy and Gene totally loved those girls heart and soul. The days ahead will be lonely and unbelievable, but only one person can make the days better, give your heartbreak to our father. I will pray for your family. Please tell our little Audrey Marie that I think of her often.

Dear Maddie, the day you went to be with our Lord my granddaughter Madi turned 23. I have always called her Angel Face because when I look at her that is what I see. When I see the pictures of you that too is what I see. So if you don't mind I would like to call you Angel Face. Love and peace to your family.

I am heartbroken for your precious family and all of us who were blessed to know Maddie. She is most assuredly smiling in the loving arms of our Lord. She will always be "Maddie Keen, Maddie Keen" to me as I loved to say her name twice like a song. It fit her because it means "high place" and she brought joy to any room she entered and lifted others up. I was blessed to be her teacher.

May Gods hand comfort those who knew you. I remember us catching fireflies together, your 20 to my 02. And you running inside so we were dressed alike, Suzanne thinking it was so cute and Scott pushing us all evening on that big ole tire swing, all of us happy to be near you. Then you grew into a beautiful young lady. How blessed we all are to have known the light of Maddie Mae.. Till we meet again. Aunt Nancy

Maddie's light will forever shine inside all who were blessed with knowing her. I remember catching fireflies with you. Your 20 to my 02. I remember you, running in to dress like me, so we could play. Suzanne thought that was so cute, and Scott so happy, spinning us on that big huge tire swing till dusk watching us laugh. What a beautiful woman you had become. You will be missed my sweet niece. Till I see u again. I say Thankyou God, for the gift of knowing Maddie Mae.

Gonna miss you, Maddie Keen. It was always "Maddie Keen", not just Maddie and you have to sing it a little bit when you say it. My first memory of you is one of a beautiful little Indian Princess who was afraid of the storm and wanted her daddy to hold her to make it better. That little princess grew into a beautiful young lady and the smile was always the same. And your voice, the way you said "Hi, Mr. Bruce". Yes, I will hold on to that.
