Madeline M. Stewart died surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, May 17, 2011. She was 90.

Born in Lawrence, MA, she has been a resident of Falls Township for 40 years.

Mrs. Stewart was an extremely devoted woman to her church and family. She was a delightfully happy woman who will be remembered for her wonderful smile.

She enjoyed traveling by train, the beach, long walks and ballroom dancing. She was an avid reader, loved sewing and was also eager to learn new things.

Mrs. Stewart volunteered her time delivering for Meals on Wheels for many years.

She was a member of Saint Joseph Worker Parish, Fallsington, where she was also a former member of the Sodality.

Beloved wife of the late Francis, she was the loving mother of June (Robert) Bissinger of Morrisville, Kathy (Ivan) Pawlenko of Holland and the late Warren Stewart and his partner, Tony Rivera. Mom-Mom will be greatly missed by her 6 grandchildren, Michael (Brooke) Bissinger , Lauren (TJ) Nicolaides, Nick, Ivan, Joey and Jill Pawlenko and a great granddaughter, Chloe Bissinger. She was the sister of Julia Jowdy and sister-in-law of Lucy Stewart of Methuen, MA and Jackie Rashid of Jupiter, FL. Mrs. Stewart will also be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews, Mary, Theresa, Janice, Joyce, Cheryl, Gail, Sharon, Debbie, Mark, Tish, Jimmy, Eddie, Joey and Susan and her devoted friend and cousin, Marion Cullen of Salem, NH.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, 7:00 until 9:00 pm and on Saturday, 8:30 until 9:30 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, 10:00 am at Saint Joseph the Worker Church, 9172 New Falls Road, Fallsington, PA 19054, followed by Rite of Committal in Resurrection Cemetery.
