Mafalda R. Sabol

Mafalda R. "Muffy" Sabol, 88, of Greensburg, died Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, in Hempfield Manor. Born Nov. 17, 1924, in Greensburg, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Maryann Tichetti DeBone. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Church. Prior to retirement, she was employed as a clerk by Professional Pharmacy in Greensburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Sabol; and a brother, Angelo DeBone. She is survived by her son, John Michael Sabol and wife, Rita; her daughter, Anita Sabol; and two sisters, Josephine "Jupey" DeBone and Mary Giacchino, all of Greensburg; a brother, Tony DeBone and wife, Golden, of San Francisco, Calif.; three nieces, Angela, Laura and Philomena; two nephews, Sam and Damian; and a special great-nephew, Dillon. There will be no viewing. Services and interment were private in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at Hempfield Manor for their compassionate care shown to Muffy.
