I know Miss lab has been gone for some years now. Blood out of eating dinner tonight I don't know if she spoke to me or not but I used to work at Short Hills Country Club with her and while I was eating Street she came into my mind. Maggie was such a very Lively energetic and happy person. She will never be forgotten! Joseph Johnson

This picture was taken only a couple months before she was tragically taken from us. She was beautiful both inside and out. Miss you girl!

I was good friends with Maggie in college. She was a bright spot in my memories of that time. She was a girl whose smile brightened the day of all who she came in contact with. If you knew anything about Maggie, you knew she loved her family. She talked about them often and with such love a admiration. My heart is with you all at this time. The world will truly miss her smile.

My Grandfather, My Father, and myself all worked at the old Peterson-Harned-Von Maur store and the Von Maur family was always the best and most sincerely caring people to work for...I am so sorry for this loss and the violence brought to one of the Von Maur stores..
We are truly sorry for your loss, and we know your pain as we lost our only daughter when she was only eleven years old.

Know that heaven is a brighter, happier place to be now because Maggie has arrived. May the sweet voices of the angels sing her to her eternal rest....

December 10, 2007

Dear family & friends of Maggie~~I know you sent your beautiful Maggie to Omaha with a large amount of pride and a measure of sadness because she was going to be quite a distance from her childhood home. It breaks my heart that you lost her in such a senseless and violent manner in a city--my city--so far away from you. Please know there are a million other people here in Omaha who would have moved heaven & earth to protect Maggie and save her if there would have been any possible way to do that. May God have mercy on those of us who remain. Maggie is safe in the arms of her loving God and no harm can come to her. My wish for all of you is to find some measure of peace in the days to come.

I grew up in Omaha and I just want you all to know what an amazing community it is. Although she was away from home Maggie was blessed to live in a city with such loving people. Although I have always been a big Von Maur customer and go there whenever visiting Omaha, I never had the honor of meeting Maggie. What a truly beautiful person she is from the things I have read. I wish there was a way to make sense of this event, but right now it cannot be done. Just please know your family will always be in my thoughts and prayers.

Those who live no more,

Our words, our hearts,
And what they did
And who they werre

December 9, 2007

It broke out hearts to lose you,
But you did not go alone,
A part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
A million times we needed you,
A million times we cried,
If love could only have saved you,
You never would have died.
You wished no one a last farewell,
You didn’t say goodbye,
You were gone before we knew it,
And only God knows why,
A golden heart stopped beating,
And you were then at rest,
God broke our hearts to prove,
He only takes the best,
We think of you in silence
And make no outward show,
For what it meant to lose you,
No one will ever know.

She was way too young to go and that is what makes this so senseless. My Family expresses sympathy for your Family in this time. May you all find strength.
