KERR MAJELLA
The family of the late Majella Kerr would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them in their recent sad bereavement. Majella, (nee Mc Kinney) was the beloved daughter of the late Dolly and Michael McKinney of Ballyarnett Road in the city. Majella left Derry after university, got married and spent the rest of her life in Dungannon where she worked with her husband Jim. She was mourned by her husband and three daughters and her sister Anne Curran after passing away on the 25th of January past. The exceptional care that Majella received from Doctors Thompson and Paisley and all the staff from Northland Surgery Dungannon made a huge difference to her comfort and quality of life in the last weeks and days. Special mention must also be made of the wonderful professionalism and kindness shown by district nurse Eileen Gillanders and both the Macmillan and Marie Curie nurses who attended Majella .We would also like to thank Father Peter McAnenly, who gave such attentive Pastoral care and support in her final days. We must thank all who attended the wake and funeral. Especially the many who had travelled long distances. We were overwhelmed by the remarkable support we received from our wonderful friends and neighbours during the days of the wake and funeral. We must draw special attention to our neighbours from Lisnagleer baptist church and Lisnagleer Community hall for freely offering their parking facilities to those attending the wake. Also thanks to all of those groups and organisations who donated their equipment and services for the duration of the wake, especially Dungannon Clarke's football club, St. Peter's School College and, Hirestore Dungannon, Jane Dillon & Ace Coaches. Special mention must be made of all of those friends and neighbours who stewarded the car parking during the wake period ensuring the safety of all of those attending. We appreciate the beautiful, simple and dignified way that Dean Donaghy carried out Majella's funeral ceremony. The Mass was greatly enhanced by the superb and touching music provided by Karl, Cathy & Glynnis McGuckin and supported by Plunkett McGartland and Mairead Duffy. We must compliment Patrick Quinn and his colleagues of PJ Quinn Undertakers for their supreme professionalism, thoughtfulness and dignity in helping us get through the days of the wake and funeral. Special thanks also to the management and staff of the Gables Restaurant Carland, for their excellent service and the quality of food served to everyone after the funeral. Money in lieu of flowers was donated to Cancer Choices and Marie Curie. As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope that you will accept this token of our appreciation,

Mass will be offered for your intentions at Majella's Month's Mind Mass on Monday the 5th of March in the Long Tower Chapel in Derry at 7.30pm
