Malachi Russler Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Mar. 30 to Mar. 31, 2016.
Malachi M. Russler was born on May 3, 1979 in Lakeside AZ. He was the son of Vincent J. Russler and Julia D. Russler. He grew up in Bonham, TX until the age of 15 when his family moved to Sherman, TX. Malachi was active in church youth group and earned the highest rank, Gold Medal of Achievement, in the Royal Rangers.

Malachi received an Associate's Degree from Grayson County College in 1999. He went on to receive a Bachelor's of Science in IT and graduate Summa Cum Laude from Tarleton University in 2001. Malachi excelled at anything involving technology and applied that gift in his job as Special Projects Manager with ADT Security Systems. He was married in 2010, had one child, Laing Russler, and moved back to Sherman, TX in 2011 to be close to his parents.

Malachi loved living life to the fullest and never backed down from any adventure or challenge. He loved the outdoors; enjoyed camping, mountain biking, skydiving, riding motorcycles, and spending time with his closest friends. He was an avid reader, an expert photographer, and he traveled the world. He had a hearty laugh and a special smile. He loved his family, God, and church.

Malachi Russler passed away on March 21, 2016. He is survived by his mother, Julia Russler of Sherman TX, his sister Rebekah Jacobson of Commerce, TX, his Uncle Gary Russler of Vallejo, CA, and his Uncle Peter Kracke, Aunt Feli Kracke and Cousins Julia and Stephanie Kracke of Germany.

Malachi will be greatly missed. He will be remembered by his family and friends as a son, a brother, a father, a friend, and the unique and incredible person that he was.

A private service will be held to honor Malachi's life and memory. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Montessori Academy of North Texas.

Goodbye my friend. I will miss you. I will miss our 3 hour lunches where we discussed Legos, Movies, Politics, Books, and everything else under the sun. I will miss your winning smile and your hearty laugh. I will miss your beard, which was second only to mine in epicness when you grew it out. I am a better person for having known you, and I will miss all those things and more. RIP Malachi.

Almost two weeks ago the world lost a good man and I lost a dear friend. Saturday my friend will be laid to rest. I miss him daily and cannot believe still that he is gone. Lives cut way to short and such a tragedy. It was an honor to have him as a friend and will always be a friend. So sad to see him gone and feel sorrow for all those affected by this loss...RIP Malachi, gone but never forgotten.
