Malcolm Pack Obituary

The funeral for Malcolm Pack, 79, of Athens will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McConnell Funeral Home with Dwight Rayburn and Anthony Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Garden.

Visitation is from 6-9 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. Pack died Monday, Aug. 8, 2011, at home.

Malcolm Pack was born June 17, 1932, in Madison County to Carlos and Mary Pack. He was a former member of 1343 Combat Engineer Battalion and a veteran of the Korean War.

Mr. Pack was a farmer for 27 years and a mechanic for 48 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Molly Pack.

Survivors include seven sons, Jeff, Lee, Barry, Doug, Michael, Gerald and Randy Pack, all of Athens; four daughters, Barbara Tarpley, Patricia Nave, Renee Tucker and Katina Stewart, all of Athens; one brother, Douglas Pack of Athens; four sisters, Mamie Allen, Reba Cooley, Louise Routh and Nancy Watts, all of Athens; 20 grandchildren, all of Athens; two step-grandchildren, both of Athens; and 16 great-grandchildren, all of Athens.

Pallbearers will be Jefferey Pack, Robert Pack, Chris Kelley, C.J. Pack, Jeremy Siniard, Nick Livingston, Casey Stewart, Tyler Livingston and Brandon Pack.
