Dear Harini and family,
we are shocked hearing news of Dr. Narsimhan. We had many great times when he lived in Dallas, Tx area and have very good memory of him. He was a mild manner nice person. May he be with God in haven and pray God to give the family courage and strength to bear this untimely loss. Please accept our heart-felt condolences. Om shanti........harshad and Ragini Parekh

I had the distinct honor and privilege of working with Sam for many years across multiple standards organizations. He was always to me the smartest person in the room. His knowledge of MPEG and compression overall was always enlightening to me. It will be his great sense of humor and the ability to defuse contentious arguments that I will miss the most. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family at this difficult time.
