Dear Carol & family,
I worked closely with Wally for many years at LSI. We shared a number of things in the world of quality control...and thankfully fun times, jokes and laughter were part of our everyday. I just learned this evening of Wally's passing & had to let you know how very sorry I am. May he rest in peace.

I woke up on Sunday with some thoughts on my brain so I wrote them down. I have never written a poem before but here it is:
Dad

It was on a Friday, December 10th that you passed away
For the Medeiros family that has long been a sad, sad day

You were surrounded by friends and family that loved you
Friendly surroundings with your beloved pets in view

That Parkinson’s disease was really rough
But as a Marine you knew how to be tough.

You fought it as hard as you could
But the disease would win which was not good

We know that you are no longer hurting, in pain or sore
That we understand but our dad is gone for ever more

Thanks for all the lessons, the gifts and joy
That you had given to me, your little boy

You’ve given me more than you ever knew
How to be a man was just one of the few

I’ll miss you dad of that you can be sure
You’ll be in my heart for ever more

I love you, Dad
Paul
