Peacefully, on Monday, July 18, 2016, in his one hundred and second year. Husband of the late Rachel Levitt and the late Ruth Schleien. Beloved father and father-in-law of Dr. Mark and Karen Batshaw. Cherished grandfather of Michael Batshaw, Elissa and Bryan Clair, Andrew Batshaw and Amy Siu. Loving great-grandfather of Julian and Sophia Batshaw; Benjamin and Rebecca Clair; Mika and Gia Batshaw. He will be sadly mourned by Ruth's son, Jordan Barak, her late daughter, Irene Berke-Bleser, and by her grandchildren, Leehee and Ofir Barak; Alyssa, Joshua and Nicholas Bleser. Predeceased by his siblings and their spouses, Harry and Anne Batshaw, Frances and Simon Barskey, and Arthur Batshaw. Special thanks to Lodita Breboneria, Frances Schleien, Huguette Batshaw and Judy Martin for their exceptional love and devotion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Wednesday, July 20 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at Congregation Shaar Hashomayim Cemetery, 1250 ch. de la Forêt.
