I still think of Dr. Lougheed often, she has not been forgotten. I think of all the prenatal visits when she built up my confidence and encouraged me. I only knew her as a patient, but I can imagine she was the best mom, wife, daughter, and friend. I miss her.

She was the best OB Doctor that I ever had she cared for mine and my daughters well being. She was cracking jokes in the OR right after my daughter was born. I am so very sorry for your loss. She will be greatly missed.

I am so heart broken for your family. Dr. Lougheed was one of my doctors for the birth of my three sons. In the little time I spent with her, you could see just how vibrant and caring she was. She had a knack for making people feel comfortable. I will always remember the part she played the day I became a mom. She was simply a wonderful person and I am so so sorry for your loss. She was a truly beautiful woman. God Bless her and her sons.

I have just read of Maranatha's too soon passing and her incredible life as a Mother and Doctor. I worked with her Dad about 16 years ago and had the great pleasure meeting this wonderful family. I know that each of you will be supported in this time of deep grief by your faith in a loving God.

I was shocked and deeply saddened to read today of Maran Lougheed's passing. Her mom, Dr Eileen Lougheed, is my doctor in the city where Maran grew up (Markham Ontario) and where I was lucky enough to be one of Maran's elementary teachers. She was a delightful young student and from reading other messages know she grew into an outstanding mother and doctor. Words cannot express my deepest condolences for the family. A tremendous loss for everyone involved.

She was such a great person I am one her patience she did a hystrectomy for me in may and I had many complications that's was unforseen and she was so great she called me 3 to 4 times a week if she hadn't already seen me within a few days. She was so caring and she was so worried about me the whole time and got me the best specialist to take care of my complications but that didn't stop her from calling and checking on me. We became close and we talked at great lengths about everything we laughed and she couldn't believe how strong i was with all these complications. She cried with me when I wasn't so strong and hugged me to make me feel better. I seriously am sadden by the news I just found out today on Aug 3 and then I knew why I hadnt heard from her since her c-section and after my repair surgery. She had told me many times even while she was out on leave she was gonna call me to check in and so I asked how she was doing and got the bad news my heart breaks. Sorry for the loss she was an awesome person and I will truly miss her she wasn't just just my Dr she became a close friend.

There are no words to express how devastating this news was! I didn't know Maran as an adult except through her parents updates. I remember well the time we took her and Daryl to the circus and what a sweet young girl she was, fun and full of life. I pray that God will be a comfort at such an unthinkable

I was stunned to hear of Dr. Lougheed's passing. I only knew her through her work as my OB/GYN and she was AMAZING. Such a kind person, such a ray of sunshine to all who had the pleasure to know her. I remember her talking to me about her sons during one of my appointments (I have 2 boys, like she did at that time) - she was such a proud Momma!

To say I was shocked and saddened to learn of Dr. Lougheed's passing is an understatement. I was a patient of hers for only 2 years but I knew the moment I met her that she was a special person. She always made you feel at ease. She went the extra mile, even calling me personally twice a day, during the last days of my pregnancy and delivery of our son on the 4th of July last year. My heart hurts for her family's inexplicable loss. She was truly one in a million.

I was one of Maranatha's patients. I've had many health challenges my whole life. I wont have kids because of these issues. Her obituary is the only one I've ever read that was 100% spot on. I only met Moran briefly as a patient at Guthrie but her obituary says it all I witnessed a very loving encouraging young woman that just radiated her enthusiasm and love for what she did I am so sorry to hear of her passing and sad as well. I just heard about her passing today. I am a fairly new patient of hers (2 yrs) and I have never experienced such a lovely, kind, caring, gentle, understanding physician as her. They are hard to find. I'm afraid she leaves a void that will be near impossible to fill. I pray that God will fill the hole made in the family's hearts by her passing, with His peace and the memories of their life with her.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this message. Dr Lougheed certainly left a mark on my life. She was a kind,compassionate and caring person.
The passion for her profession and dedication to the welfare of her patients restored my faith in our healthcare system. I did not know her on a social level but it was evident to me that her many amazing traits and love extended across all boundaries.
I was blessed to have known her. May all her wishes for her family come true even in her absence. She will be missed. Heaven has definitely added a gem to their family.
