Marc-Andre William LeClerc, also known as The Clerk, passed away on December 1, 2023, in Kathmandu, Nepal. He was born on June 8, 1993, in Banff, Canada. Marc-Andre was a vivacious, spunky, and driven individual who lived life to the fullest.

Marc-Andre had a successful career as a professional mountain guide and dishwasher. He was passionate about exploring the outdoors and sharing his love for nature with others. He was known for his expertise and dedication in his field.

In addition to his career, Marc-Andre held a Ph.D. from Cornell in Indo-European linguistics, showcasing his intellectual pursuits and commitment to education.

Marc-Andre enjoyed various hobbies, including skiing, reading, knitting, and climbing. These activities brought him joy and allowed him to express his creativity and adventurous spirit.

He is survived by his father, Rick, and was preceded in death by his mother, Samantha. Marc-Andre cherished his family and had a deep bond with his loved ones.

Marc-Andre worshipped at Hafiz Buddhist Cathedral, finding solace and spiritual guidance in his faith. His devotion to his religion was an integral part of his life.

A memorial service will be held on Monday at the Wee Blew Inn, where friends and family will gather to celebrate and remember Marc-Andre's remarkable life. Contributions in his memory can be made to the American Alpine Club, a cause close to his heart.
