Marc V Arquilla

Marc V. Arquilla of Burr Ridge, Illinois, entered fully into the presence of the Lord on Friday, December 9th, 2022 at the age of 71.

Devoted and beloved husband of Christine Arquilla, whose beauty and love he spoke of often and with complete awe throughout their 43-year marriage. Unconditionally loving father of Jenna Cascio, Lisa Arquilla, and Lindsey Arquilla Bryja, and father-in-law of Robert Cascio and James Arquilla Bryja. Beamingly proud grandfather of Maria and Isabella Cascio, and Haven and Sunny Arquilla Bryja. Dear twin brother of Marcia (Thomas) Finlay and big brother of Robert (Linda Friese) Arquilla. Adoring son of the late Emma and Venanzio Arquilla.

Marc also leaves behind many extended family members, friends, and loved ones, including close friends of many decades Skip and Ann Harsy and Andrew and Nancy LaMontagna. Marc took great pride in his family and friends and counted each of his loved ones as pure blessings, valuing and cherishing them dearly and whole-heartedly.

Marc is reverently remembered by his loved ones as an accomplished carpenter, an enthusiastic cook and baker of bread and pizza, a dedicated softball and soccer coach, for his one of a kind sense of humor, an admirer of Chicago architecture, as a voice for the voiceless in the pro-life cause, as having a soft spot for dogs and nature, and as a fierce provider for and protector of his family.

Marc was exceptionally proud of his Italian heritage, and took great delight in passing along many Italian traditions to his daughters, sons in law, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. His legacy will certainly live on as we continue to hold his memory through his favorite culture.

Marc was a man steadfast in his faith and he loved expressing that faith through the great appreciation he had for music. Marc enjoyed listening to and loudly singing along with every church choir he came across in each of the many beautiful churches he visited.

We take comfort in knowing he is now in heaven, singing along with a choir of angels.

In celebration of Marc’s life, family and friends will be received at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, 5005 Wolf Rd., Western Springs, Illinois, 60558 on Monday, December 19th. Visitation will be held at 10am with Mass to follow at 11am. There will be a burial held afterward for those who wish to attend at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 1400 S.
