Des was a wonderful man and he and Bernice were such a great couple. They were the first to welcome my husband and me to the Ottewell neighbourhood when we moved next door in 1988. Through the years, we always enjoyed their company. When my Dad came from Saskatoon, he and Des would often visit, as they shared a love of airplanes and the airforce.
