Marcel DESAULNIERS Obituary
May 18, 1927 – April 20, 2015
It is with great sadness that the family of Des announces his passing at the age of 87 at the Kipness Veteran Center.
Des is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Bernice, children Jory (Pat), Jean-Paul (Mary), Michael (Brenda), Tom (Linda), Nicole (Ron) Stansky and David (Cherie). Also left behind are grandchildren Jasmine (Bob), Jeremy, Sawyer, Monique, Courtney, Brean (Guillaume), Lyle (Ashley), Justin, Jessica, Alexandra and Aaron and great-grandchildren Ryan, Shaunti and Ethan. He is remembered by sisters Roxane, Yvette (Kurt), Aline and Simone plus many nieces and nephews. Des was predeceased by his brother George and granddaughter Deanna.
He had a service career in the Army Reserve, Navy, Air Force (pilot) and RCMP.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 11:00 a.m.at St John Bosco Catholic Parish, 13503 40 Street, Edmonton, Alberta.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Boomer's Legacy (Support our Troops Canada) 1417 Sabre Ct., Comox, BC V9M 2X2 would be appreciated.

Des was a wonderful man and he and Bernice were such a great couple. They were the first to welcome my husband and me to the Ottewell neighbourhood when we moved next door in 1988. Through the years, we always enjoyed their company. When my Dad came from Saskatoon, he and Des would often visit, as they shared a love of airplanes and the airforce. Best wishes to the family from Harold and Marianne Grainger.
