Marcella M. Karlavage, of Nesquehoning, formerly of Mahanoy City, died Sunday at Seton Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Orwigsburg.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Karlavage; devoted mother of Joan Ann West and Marcena Coleman; loving grandmother of five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Roman Catholic Church, Mahanoy City, with Monsignor Anthony Wassel and the Rev. William Linkhorst officiating. Friends may call at 9 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment will the private in St. Joseph Cemetery, Mahanoy City. Memorials in her name may be made to the Chapel of Perpetual Adoration, Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church, where she spent many hours of her life. Louis D. Joan,Marcena & Family, Our thoughts are with you at this time she was a very special person and I know she is with all her love ones that passed. I dont know if you knew but she was my Godmother. Sincerely, Kathy (Boyer) and Walter Taylor and Family.
