Oakdale- Libby Kalnitsky, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Harrington Court in Colchester.

She was born August 6, 1920 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late Meyer and Anna Labensky.

She married the late Milton Kalnitsky in New York on October 28, 1943. He passed away October 5, 2007.

She loved to play cards and knit. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the loves of her life.

She is survived by her daughters Lauren Weisman of MA, Ilene Lewit and husband Alan of Oakdale, daughter in law Clara Kalnitsky, grandchildren Don Weisman, Michael and Ari Lewit, Shayna Reiss and husband Jeff, Tara and Chelsea Kalnitsky, great grandchildren Alex and David Reiss, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Libby was predeceased by her son Howard Kalnitsky and by her sister Irene Kane.

A graveside funeral service will be held at the Hebrew Benevolent Cemetery #2 in Preston on Thursday April 21, 2011 at 1 pm.
