Marcia H. Griswold, 96, of Wethersfield, Ct, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2023. She was born on March 10, 1927, in Providence, RI. Marcia had a compassionate spirit with a quick wit. She was known for her love of family and her talent for knitting from hats to gloves and sweaters, Marcia blessed her family with her knitted attire.

Marcia is survived by her 3 children, Gary & Sue Griswold of Marlborough, Randy & Lynn Griswold of East Hampton, and Betsey & Bob Broomall of Southington, 11 grandchildren,12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband H. Newton Griswold Jr, and granddaughter Bonnie Griswold Casey.

Marcia graduated from Dean Jr College She was a member of First Church since 1943 and actively participated in various groups within the church, Griswoldville Chapel Ladies Aid.
In her free time, Marcia enjoyed her hobbies of knitting, quilting, and crafting. She also enjoyed spending time at Hawks Nest Beach. Her dedication to First Church and the Griswoldville Chapel Ladies Aid showcased her commitment to her faith and community.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 27, at First Church in Old Wethersfield, Ct. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Shatterproof.org or Griswoldville Chapel, c/o 70 Griswold Rd, Wethersfield,
