Marcia E. Resnik

Mrs. Marcia E. (McNamara) Resnik, of Milford, formerly of Waltham, died Friday, May 20, 2016 in Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was 68. Marcia Was born June 3, 1947 in Waltham a daughter of the late Richard and Pauline (Galinauski) McNamara. Raised and educated in Waltham she graduated from Waltham High School with the class of 1965. She then earned her bachelors degree in nursing from Newton-Wellesley School of Nursing. She lived many years in Waltham before moving to Milford over 20 years ago. Marcias career in nursing included work at the Charlesgate Manor Nursing Home where she served as its Director of Nursing, Maristhill Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Waltham and lastly the Blaire House in Milford where she worked for over seven years, retiring in 2013. Marcias interests included reading, travelling on trips to the Caribbean, time spent at the ocean and vacations on Cape Cod. She leaves her husband, Louis; her siblings, Judith H. Martini and her husband, John, of Medway, Douglass R. McNamara and his wife, Laverne, of Natick and Matthew J. McNamara of Waltham; her nieces and nephews, Geoffrey McNamara, Meredith Golden, Lily and Jack Martini; her great-niece and nephews, Charlotte and Owen and William. Family and friends will honor and remember Marcias life by gathering for a calling hour on Thursday, May 26th at 11 a.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by her Funeral Service at 12 Noon.
