February 7, 1932 - April 20, 2009Marcia Marie Stroble, born February 7, 1932 in Monroe, LA; passed away April 20, 2009, in Live Oak, FL. Marcia grew up in Louisiana , North Dakota , Texas and Arkansas, before her family settled in suburban Washington, DC. Her early working career was spent in radar and radiation technology research for RSI, Inc. and the University of Maryland. On June 26, 1969, she met and wed Elvin "Rex" Stroble, a career U.S. Navy Sailor and her husband of 39 years. When Rex retired from the U.S. Navy , they relocated to Ft. Myers, FL and embarked on their second careers - he at the local telephone company, United Telephone (later Sprint) and she as a school bus driver for the Lee County School Board. They resided and worked in Lee County for the next 17 years before retiring and moving to a home on 30 acres outside Live Oak, FL in Suwannee County.Marcia is survived by her husband, Rex; siblings George, Pam and Tricia; children Leah Burnett and Robert Settles; step children Barry Stroble and Donna Stroble; foster daughter Debbie Greife; daughter-in-law Pamela Settles, grandchildren John, Elizabeth and her husband Jason, Cassandra, Brandy, Mikael, Rhiannon, Melissa, Alan, Wesley, Josh and Sabrina; great grandchildren Daniel and Mackenzie; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.Marcia gave so much to countless people throughout her life. She will be dearly missed and on the one year anniversary of her passing, her family will host a celebration of life.Marcia will be cremated and there will be no memorial service. In lieu of a service or gifts to the family, it was her wish that donations be made to a charity of the donor's choice.Daniels Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc. of Live Oak is in charge of all arrangements.Please sign the online guestbook. Mrs. Storble you will always have a place in my heart..I enjoyed gettin to know you at the Dr. office and you will never be forgotten..To the family my condolences, but know that Mrs. Stroble is far more better place in the arms of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ and she will no longer suffer...With all my love Leslie Ramsey
