Marcia (Helen Kenyon) VanHemel 87, of Coconut Creek, Florida passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 18, 2025. She was born in Phelps, NY on February 17, 1938 to John and Ruth Kenyon . Phelps is where she met her loving husband of 67 years, Raymond VanHemel. Together, they raised their family in Macedon, NY where Marcia worked as an insurance agent before relocating to South Florida in 1985. Marcia was fiercely loyal to her family with whom she enjoyed numerous activities including watching while her children and grandchildren thrive.

Marcia is survived by her husband, Raymond; Sons: Greg (Amy) VanHemel of Oklahoma City, OK, Gary (Mary) VanHemel of Placida, Florida, Joel (Robbin) VanHemel of Coconut Creek, Fl.; Grandchildren: Eric VanHemel, Leslie Ayers, Lance VanHemel, Desiree Heinl, Shelby Nguyen, Jamilea Butner, Amber VanHemel and Lauren VanHemel; as well as 8 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her son, Jeff (Susan) VanHemel.

Her contagious laugh and wit will be missed and cherished by all who dearly loved her and miss her. Per her request, there will be a burial at sea in the near future. Details to follow. Donations can be made to American Cancer Society.

Marcia was a wonderful person who was loved by everyone. Beautiful smile and a beautiful person. She will be sorely missed by all.
