Marcus Flanery Obituary
Marcus was born February 12, 1983 in Houston, Texas and grew up in the Houston/Cypress area. He graduated from Cypress Springs High School in 2001 and met the love of his life Laura March 14, 2003. They married on May 29, 2010 and are expecting their first child March 2014. Marcus enjoyed video gaming, motorcycles and cars.
He is survived by his wife Laura Flanery, Katy; his mother and step-father, Marlene (Moore) Farmer and Darrel, Cypress; his father and step-mother, David K. Flanery, Jr. and Vicki, Houston; Brother, David K. Flanery, III, Houston; Step-sister, Jennifer Ferrell and husband Glenn; Grandmother Madelen J. Moore, Willis; Mother and Father in law, Luanne and Gary Kulczar, Cypress; sister in law, Kristene Virene and husband Patrick, Cypress; Niece Phoenix Cave, Houston; Nephew Thomas Virene, Cypress; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, David and Val Flanery; Grandfather, Milton Moore, Sr.; and Uncle, Mike Moore.
Visitation with the family will be held on November 26, 2013 at Katy Funeral Home located at 23350 Kingsland Blvd., Katy, TX 77494 between 4:30 until 6:00 p.m. A Memorial Service honoring Marcus' life will begin at 6:00 p.m.

Many fond memories were shared together that will last forever. From exploring the city of New York for the first time, to riding motorcycles in Malibu, to gaming in Phoenix and online, Marcus was a true humble friend who touched my life.
Simply put, Marcus was one of the good ones. He will be missed.

Also knew Marcus through a car forum, probably the same one most will mention. Never met him personally, but he always struck me as a great guy. My heart goes out to his family. Deepest sympathies.

Marcus and I became friends on the internet via our mutual love for cars and motorcycles. I had the pleasure of subsequently meeting him in person and celebrating a New Year's Eve together. He was one of the nicest, most-down-to-earth guys I knew. Not a pretentious bone is his body. He will be greatly missed but live on fondly in our hearts and memories with him.

Laura - I am so sorry for you loss but remember this: You will lose someone you can't live without, and your heart will be badly broken, and the bad news is that you never completely get over the loss of your beloved. So sad for all of his family! I can't imagine what mere words would be a comfort if I had just lost my son, brother, or husband, but yet I woke up with a heavy heart for each of you this morning.
