Marcus Dean Sumner

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Marcus Dean Sumner, beloved son of Dean and Carolyn Sumner, entered into rest July 22, 2005. Visitation at Kings Funeral Home at 124 Davis Road, Augusta on July 25, 2005 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral services will be held on July 26, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home, Scottsboro, Ala. with Chaplain Frankie May officiating. Burial will be at Union Cemetery, Woodville, Ala. Borne January 17, 1958 and raised in Augusta, Mark served in the Navy as a Corpsman, 1976-1982, afterward becoming a professional cook. His experience ranged from working in fine restaurants in Augusta and Anchorage, Alaska to remote lodges in Alaska. In Augusta, he worked from Goldsmith's and Calvert's. Mark was a gentle and sensitive person who enjoyed diversity in people and cultures and was also an animal lover. He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. Survivors include his parents, Dean and Carolyn Sumner of Augusta; sister, Carol Ozanne of Augusta; brother, Greg Sumner of Aiken; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Pallbearers include, Hoyt Eason, Robert Eason, Kermit Eason, Johnny Hughes, Michael Hughs, Joshua Sumner and alternate, Dan Widgeon. Florist: 9:00 a.m. Monday. Thomas L.
