Family and friends of Margaret Patricia Amato are heartbroken to mourn her irreplaceable loss on May 3, 2017 after she finally succumbed to a brave and painful battle with bone and liver cancer at 76 years of age. Margaret Amato was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt and educated in the finest french schools, until she captured the eye and heart of her beloved husband, Architect, private artist and charming raconteur, Aldo Rocco Amato, and they immigrated to America. Margaret's love and devotion to her husband and family brought three children into this world, Carlo, Maria and Grazia, and four grandchildren, Melina, Aldo, Alina and Janelle, who will love her and cherish her memory with the devotion she showed them her entire life. Margaret's renowned beauty was surpassed only by her many talents and gifts. Possessed with a lively wit and enthusiasm for life, Margaret was international, well-traveled and conversant in four languages; French, Arabic, Italian and English. An accomplished couturier with patternmaking, fabric draping and tailoring expertise, she established several successful business enterprises designing and making evening wear, bridal dresses and pageant gowns and was known for her own elegant and stylish appearance. Margaret's infallible logic and sense of equanimity made her one of the most successful mediators for the Ocean County Superior Court for over two decades. A lover of fashion, art, gardening and music, she applied her creativity and flawless taste to her surroundings and all she did. An accomplished cook and hostess, she loved her friends and family with delicious meals of Italian and middle eastern food and enjoyed entertaining, especially on the holidays. Margaret counts among her many accomplishments those of her husband and children, who all enjoyed success, family love, and happiness, all made possible with Margaret's support, sacrifice and care.
