Margaret Cahalane Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 2, 2024.

Margaret Hubbard Cahalane (nee Caudill), 95, reached the end of a very long and happy life on April 25, just four days short of her 96th birthday.

She was born on April 29, 1928 in Hamilton, Ohio. She is survived by her two children, Sharon (Bill) Weber and Steve (Terri) Hubbard; four grandchildren Deanna Fritz, Meagan Hubbard, Devin Hubbard, and Kelsey Hubbard; three great-grandchildren, Jake Fritz, Hayley Fritz, and Grant Johnson; one sister-in-law Naomi Caudill; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Louise Caudill; her three brothers Paul, Richard and Thomas Caudill; sisters-in-law Myrna Caudill and Loretta Caudill; and three spouses, Robert Lakes, Dean Hubbard, and Dan Cahalane.

Margaret worked more than thirty years at Champion Paper Company in Hamilton, Ohio before retiring to Jupiter, Florida in 1990. She lived there for nearly thirty years and was very active in Jupiter First Church. She moved to Minnesota in 2018 to be near her daughter. She maintained an independent lifestyle until her final years. She died peacefully in her daughter's home, surrounded by family.

Margaret brought joy to others especially through her skills as a baker. Her pies, cookies, cakes and other treats live on in the memories (and hips) of those who knew her. She will be missed by all who loved her.

Memorial services will be private. Anyone wishing to offer a donation in her memory can donate to Second Harvest Food Bank or the charity of your choice.
