Margaret Frances Davila

WILLS POINT - Memorial services for Margaret Frances Davila, 78, Terrell, mother of a Wills Point resident, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Terrell. Local arrangements under direction of Hiett's LyBrand Funeral Home, Wills Point.

Mrs. Davila died Nov. 17, 2008, at her residence.

She was born Oct. 8, 1930, in Kingsville to the late William Benton and Florence Arnett Scott. She grew up in Port Isabel, and graduated from El Jardin High in Brownsville. She attended Texas A&I College in Kingsville. She lived in Terrell since 1965, was a member of St. John the Apostle of Terrell,, and served as a Girl Scout Leader and Cub Scout Leader. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Nancy Davila and Juanita Marney.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Juan Davila Jr., Terrell; sons, Richard Davila, Mesquite, David Davila, Midland and John Davila, Huntsville; daughters, Margaret Webster, Wills Point, Rose Crocker, Grand Saline, and Melissa Simons, Yukon, Okla.; brother, Charles Scott, Atlanta, Ga.; sisters, Mary Hunt, Dallas, and Florence Stancliff of Lakehills; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

If desired, memorials may be made to hospice of choice; or St. John the Apostle Church in Terrell.
