Margaret Desjarlais

DESJARLAIS-MARGARET KAREN (April 10, 1940 September 25, 2008) ~ passed away with her family by her side. Predeceased by her parents; Mark and Violet Desjarlais, her husband; Fernie Wesaquate, her daughter; Karen and grandson; Nathan. Survived by her siblings; Mary Kinequon, Florence (Jerry) Kayseas, Vivian (Leonard) Nanaquewetung, Stanley (Melva) Desjarlais, Alfred Desjarlais and Bernard (Karen) Desjarlais. Survived by her children; Della Cummings, Allan Wesaquate, Lorna Wesaquate, Leona (Karl) Harasym, Maureen (Todd) Sanderson, and Kimberly Wesaquate. Special grandsons; Justin (Krista) Wesequate, Daniel (Kaylee) Wesaquate, 15 grandchildren, and 3 greatgrandchildren. Margaret was a Service Aide on many floors throughout the Regina General Hospital for 23 years of dedicated work. We gratefully acknowledge the support of staff of 2 West at Pioneer Village Nursing Home, Renal Dialysis Unit at the Regina General Hospital, the Doctors and Nurses on Unit 3F for keeping her comfortable in her final days and Native Health Services for their support. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at 3:30 P.M. at Holy Child Church, 2636 7th Ave. E. with Father Lorne Crozan, officiating. This will be followed by a traditional wake at Piapot Band Hall, Harry Francis and Elders officiating. Traditional service will begin at 11:00 A.M. on Sunday, September 28, 2008. Interment to follow at Wesaquate burial grounds.
