Margaret E. "Maggie" Glovier Dingus ST. PAUL, Va. "When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be." Margaret E. "Maggie" Glovier Dingus, 96, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009, at her home. She was born in Wise County, Va., daughter of the late William S. and Ida R. Trent Glovier. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus H. Dingus; three sons, infant twins, Bobbie and Billie, and Verlan Dingus; three sisters, Gertrude Dingus, Sally Oxford and Cosby Stone; five brothers, Rev. Walter Glovier, Oscar Glovier, Bruce Glovier, Charles Glovier and Paul Glovier; two grandchildren, Kevin Horne and Brent Wolfe; one great-grandson, Jonathan Groves; one great-great-granddaughter, Alliyah Dingus; and two sons-in-law, Glenn Wolfe and Bob Davis. She was a member of Sabra Chapel Church and a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Clinch Valley Chapter 152 in St. Paul. She is survived by five daughters, Joyce Wolfe of Kingsport, Tenn., Edith Horne and husband Eddie of Castlewood, Va., Shirley Davis of Castlewood, Brenda White and husband Scott of Castlewood and Judy Meade and husband Jerry of Castlewood; two sons, Harold Dingus and wife Lena of West Plains, Mo., and Rev. Arville Dingus and wife Sherrall of Castlewood; one sister, Ella Hartsock of Abingdon, Va.; two brothers, Garland Glovier and wife Francis of Lebanon, Va., and Orbin Glovier and wife Anna Mae of Castlewood; 24 grandchildren; 33 great- grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Margaret E. "Maggie" Glovier Dingus will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009, in the Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, with Rev. Greg Dingus and Rev. Steven Dingus officiating. Interment will follow in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood. Pallbearers will be Mike Dingus, Danny Wolfe, Tony Wolfe, Dennis Horne, Jeff Horne, Tony Davis, Shawn Kiser and Blaine White. Honorary pallbearers will be a grandson, Tim Dingus; and great-grandsons. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009, in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sabra Chapel Church, c/o Lois Banner, P.O. Box 55, Castlewood, VA 24224. Thoughts and prayers with the entire family. We love you all. I am in Nashville TN right now with Ryan as he has had his heart transplant, so I wont be able to be there , but know that we are praying and thinking of all of you all.
