Mrs. Margaret Virginia Modlin Dobson, 80, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, October 8, 2016. Mrs. Dobson was born in Martin County to Jesse Raymond and Vadie Virginia Modlin on January, 10, 1936. She was a housewife for most of her life, she loved to read; loved to fish with her husband, Richard Lawrence (Shorty) Dobson; and loved to travel with her brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Cedar Branch Baptist Church at 11:00 A.M. with burial at Jamesville Cemetery. ( Visitation has been changed to 6-8:00 P.M. at Biggs Funeral Home in Williamston on Monday night due to power outages at the church.) Mrs. Dobson is survived by her son, Ricky Dobson of Jamesville; a daughter, April Bullock and husband, Barry of Stokes, N.C.; and a son Jesse Dobson of Jamesville. She is also survived by three grand-children, Lynn Bullock, John Bullock, and Jonathan Dobson; 3 great-grandchildren, Richard Adam Bullock, Jeremy Taylor Bullock, and Alyssa Lynn Bullock; and by 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lawrence (Shorty) Dobson, her parents, Vadie Virginia Wynn and Jesse Raymond Modlin; a grand-daughter Christina Diane Bullock; and 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Flowers are appreciated or donations may be made to the Jamesville Fire and Rescue Squad.

Rest in Peace Margaret, my dear friend. You will be missed greatly. I enjoyed all the time we spent working together for 6 years at Walmart for American Greetings. We spent alot of time together. She was like a mother to me since my mother had passed away years earlier. Thoughts and prayers for the family.
