Margaret Edmister

Margaret Shipley Edmister was born May 17, 1931, in Columbus, Ohio, to Robert and Lucille Shipley. She met her husband, Ed, in Ohio, and had their first and only child, Lindy, in Columbus. They moved to Arlington, Texas, where Margaret's daughter Maryann and her family lived. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren and was active at the Arlington Senior Citizens Center where she and Ed volunteered.
Margaret loved visiting with friends, and she and Ed could often be found sitting on their front porch visiting with neighbors.
Margaret was proud of her daughters and their husbands whom she considered her sons. She loved to brag about all of them to anyone around.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ed, her parents, her brother Jack, and her daughter Becky. She and Ed had 15 grandchildren: Cheri, Darren, Travis, Averi, Leah, Johnie, Janieia, Chrissy, Joey, Amanda, Lauren, Christie, Cheryl, Mark, and Lauren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Margaret loved to laugh, and we believe that she and Ed are now enjoying Heaven together.
The family will be holding services at Moore Funeral Home Chapel at 12:30pm on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 with Interment to follow.
