Dear Grandma Lucy, I love you with all my heart. I can remember when we used to come over to your house and have snack with you and Grandpa. one of my favorite dishes with you was the strawberries and strawberry jell-o dip I always loved your house it was decorated so unique. I loved your kitchen it was so cute and small. I remember when it was near valentines you got us each a small box of chocolates and a stuffed animal. I remember we used to dance and sing for you when we came to visit. Grandpa Wayne would always show us his cowboy pictures when we came over and told us about four roses. I remember Grandpa showing us how to wiggle our ears and sure enough I finally know how to do it. One time you took me into your kitchen and showed me your secret chocolate drawer. I loved it. I remember you took us outback and showed us the shed you said Grandpa built. It was beautiful. It had barn looking doors. They were red and white. Your back porch had beautiful plants in pots always scattered on your porch. I always felt peaceful. I remember you giving us an aloe vera plant. I remember you said you had a bunny family living out back. You said you were raking up leaves and you spotted those baby bunnies all in a hole and you said they were some ugly looking grey fur balls. I loved your humor. I remember you told us some stories about your childhood. I always loved listening about how you grew up. You said Wayne was the only person you dated. You told us the beginning of your life with Wayne. You said when the first guy asks you out you'll get so nervous. I remember asking you what age you were when you first dated and you said nineteen. after that I knew I wanted to be just like you and wait on my first boyfriend because, you waited along time and you got an amazing Christian man. I love you Grandma Lucy and Grandpa Wayne. You both are some very faithful, peaceful, inspirational, loving and great people of G-d. You both will always be in my HEART. You both are some true blessing and can't wait till we will reunite soon. I love you both! Love Claire Wilkie

When Lucille and I first met, we weren't quite sure what to make of each other. But, it didn't take long for us to become friends. A young woman could not have asked for a better Mother-In-Law. She was a caring mentor who had infinite patience. Her advice was golden whether it was on how to make an unbeatable banana pudding or how to deal with and Eidson male. (grin) She cherished both her sons and her daughters-in-law. Known as Mema and Grandma to her 4 grandchildren. Her 5 great grand children were loved beyond measure.
I will miss her.
