As a former reporter and photographer for the High River Times I remember Margaret Fraser well. She often went out of her way to help me cature the beauty and kindess of the people of High River. Many of the photos and stories she helped to create are still a part of my portfolio.

"Mother Margaret"! Even as a small girl, I can remember how special she was to the young women that wore the crowns of the CS Trio. I am very thankful that she was a part of my reign as Stampede Princess. It truely would not have been compelete without her talents and to do's! Thoughts and prayers from my family to yours and the lucky people that had the privilage of knowing the "Bun on the Run"! God Bless you Margaret. We will miss you and love you always.

My husband and I came to know Margaret as the chaperone to the Queen and Princesses of the Calgary Exhibition and Stampede. She was our contact for this organization for over 20 years. We know how much she cared for people and particularly for these girls who were under her care as well as her love of the Stampede. The Stampede Board could not have found anyone who was more committed and she was always there for us when we had any problems. We represented the Alberta Cattlemen's Fellowship and our group presented 3 Bibles/year to the girls over the past twenty some years. Margaret always brought the girls over to where we were making breakfast on the two Sunday mornings and gave our group a chance to meet the new Queen and Princesses. Margaret is now a citizen of heaven and we truly hope this brings her family some comfort. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints (Ps. 116:15). She has done a good work and we ask that you accept our sincere sympathy in your loss.

Margaret is a Legend in her own time. She touched so many hearts and minds. She taught me so much about the importance of history and tradition and I certainly will miss those looks she gave when getting her point across. I am honored and blessed to have spent time with her as a Stampede Princess and continued a friendship with her throughout the years. My deepest sympathies goes out to the Fraser family. She is an extraordinary lady, no one else like her, and I will miss her so very much. Love you Margaret
