Margaret Glossop

GLOSSOP, Margaret Alma
November 3, 1925 - May 18, 2011
Margaret passed away in the Sidney Care
Home in Sidney, BC. She was predeceased by
her husband, Eric. Mom left behind her sister,
Patricia Rochester; her sons, Peter (Sharon),
grandchildren, Craig and Scott (Ashley),
great-grandchildren, Hadley and Cohan, her
son, Michael (Val), grandchildren, Brandon,
Stephan and Lauren. Margaret had a zest for
life and a real appreciation for the simple
things. She and Eric had a strong marriage
and were devoted to each other. They
immigrated to Canada after the War and lived
briefly in Manitoba. They moved near the
mountains they loved and spent twenty-five
years together in Calgary and Edmonton
before retiring to enjoy Vancouver Island. Dad
worked for over twenty-five years with
Alberta Government Telephones and mom
was an active volunteer in many different
organizations. Both parents will be missed
for their generosity, stability and sense of
humour. A Celebration of their lives will be
held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 22, 2011
at The Cochrane Ranche in the Aspen Room,
101 Ranchehouse Road, Highway 22 in
