Margaret Inglese Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 8, 2025.
Margaret Elaine Inglese, 94, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2025, in San Jose, California. Born on May 24, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph and Jane Cabon. She graduated from Bowen High School in Chicago in 1948. Margaret married Silvio Inglese in 1951, and they moved to California shortly after.

Margaret began her career working for the phone company before turning her interest to decorating and launching her own interior design business. Later, she embraced her love of travel by becoming a travel agent which allowed her to venture the world with family, friends, and share this passion with others.

Her interests extended beyond her work. Margaret had an appreciation for beauty and culture, which she expressed through antiquing, reading, and interior design. She loved to shop, always eager to experience something new or find a hidden gem. Margaret enjoyed spending time with her friends and neighbors. She was a member of a gourmet dinner club and enjoyed playing bunco with friends. One of the highlights of her social life was meeting monthly with the "Williams School Retired Room Mothers," a tradition that continued long after their children had grown.

Margaret also gave generously of her time through volunteer work. She was dedicated to supporting children and literacy through her involvement with the Children's Home Society and the Almaden Branch of the San Jose Public Library. Her kindness and interest in others left a lasting impression.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Serena Moeller; son-in-law Jon; granddaughters Rachel Heinlein and Stephanie Moeller; and two great-granddaughters. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Silvio Inglese; sisters Roseanne Christiansen and Catherine Sieloff; and brother Joseph Cabon.

A private memorial service will be held.

Margaret Elaine Inglese will be missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those whose lives she touched.
