MARGARET KISH

Margaret Kish went to be the Lord on August 16, 2017 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease.


Margaret was born June 17, 1929 in East Chicago, Indiana. She graduated from Horace Mann High School in Gary, Indiana and attended business school where she studied Introduction to Law. She worked at the US Embassy in Brazil for several years.

She moved to Arizona to be close to her parents, initially working for Motorola, then later for Arizona Public Service as an associate corporate secretary in the legal department, retiring in 1991 to care for her 98 year old mother.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents Anna and Andrew Kish, her brothers Andrew, John, George, Harry, Daniel, Robert, and Richard and by her sisters Mary, Rose, and Micky.

Margaret loved animals and volunteered at the Phoenix Zoo. Her love of the arts was manifested in her volunteering at Phoenix Symphony Hall, and her love of learning exhibited by her volunteerism at Phoenix Central Library where she tutored adults to read.

Margaret never married and had no children of her own, but she always enjoyed interacting with her many nieces and nephews, as well as several generations of neighborhood children.


Family and friends were very important to Margaret. She was a very loyal friend, a devoted sister, and loving aunt.

She will always be remembered for her incredibly generous, kind and sweet spirit and her love of our Lord.
