MASON CITY - Margaret "Margie" D. Klink, 63, of Mason City died Wednesday (Sept. 7, 2005) at Good Shepherd Health Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., with Richard L. Scott Sr., lay assistant of Zion Lutheran Church, Clear Lake, officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home on Monday.

Margaret D. Klink was born Oct. 10, 1941, in Vineland, N.J., the daughter of Pastor John L. and Margaret (Allen) Herr. She graduated from Atlantic City High School in Atlantic City, N.J. Margie worked as a nurse's aid at both Good Shepherd Health Center and the IOOF Home. She was also a house mother at Opportunity Village in Clear Lake. Margie also worked in maintenance at Qwest Communications and in housekeeping at the Sheraton and Holiday Inn in Mason City. She enjoyed being with her friends, family and especially her grandson. Margie also enjoyed bingo and spending time with her pets, a dog, Tippy, and a cat, Amy Lou. She was always visiting on the phone keeping in contact with her family and liked to be out and about around town. Margie loved the holidays and spending them with her family. She was active in the Neighborhood Watch program and was politically active in the Democratic Party.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Richard Scott Jr. and Stephen Scott and special friend, Tina, all of Mason City; grandson, Justin Scott also of Mason City; a brother, John Herr and wife, Susan, of New Jersey; and a nephew, Johnny; niece, Debbie and great-nephew, Benjamin.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
