Margaret N. Ksiazyk

Margaret N. (Milano) Ksiazyk of North Andover, 87 years old, passed away at High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill following a brief period of declining health, ending her long battle with dementia. Margaret was born April 7, 1936, in Somerville to the late Consiglia "Celia" (Santoro) and Antonio Milano.

After graduating Medford High School, Margaret worked in the secretarial field until she met the love of her life and started a family. Soon after, Margaret served as vice president and treasurer of Donovan Delivery Service, the company that she and Robert owned for many years. Anyone in the Medford area in the 80's may remember the big red vans of Donovan Delivery Service driving around the area. Even after selling their company, Margaret and Robert continued to work side by side until they retired to enjoy their 65 years of marriage.

Margaret enjoyed square dancing, knitting, crocheting, and sewing. She was a very talented Seamstress, and even made the square dance dresses among other outfits for herself and her children. Camping was another love she had. Even though the campgrounds may have changed, you could always find her sitting on her lawn chair, relaxing with a good book. During the winters she loved the many vacations she and Robert took to Aruba as well as cruises to the islands of the Caribbean or to Europe. After retiring, she also enjoyed going to casinos or day trips to the beach.

Margaret was the loving wife of Robert T. Ksiazyk, and the devoted mother of Linda Tavanese of Revere, Nancy Howard and her husband Daniel of Billerica, and Lori Pulsone and her husband Robert of Lawrence. She was the doting "Umma" to 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She is survived by her grandchildren whom she adored more than life itself: Daniel (DJ) Howard and his fiancé, Alicia Giannino of Pepperell, Domenic Tavanese of Lynn, and Megan Smith (Howard) and her husband Anthony Smith of Billerica. Margaret's greatest delight was Megan's daughter (her great-granddaughter) McKenzie Leonard. Margaret was predeceased by her brother, Anthony Milano, and is survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, January 24th from 4 through 8 pm in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 25 in the funeral home at 10 AM with Reverend Father Paul Flammia officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
