Margaret Link Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 26, 2025.
Margaret (Peggy) Clara Link passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025. She was born in 1945 in Bellerose, Queens, to the late Frederick Heimberger and Margaret Christopher. She was preceded in death by her stepfather Edward Christopher and her beloved husband, Robert Link.

Peggy is survived by her children: Richard (Hope) Blume, Rene' (Jason) Blume-Meagher, Matthew (Christine) Blume, Evan (Helene) Link, Andrew (Jennifer) Link, and her stepson, David (Allison) Link. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her grandchildren: Sarah, Hannah, Hunter, Benjamin, Ryan, Caroline, Collin, Spencer, Alex, Charlie, and Ava.

Despite the many health and life challenges she faced, Peggy met each one with grace and quiet strength. Her late husband, Bob, often reminded their children that their mother was the strongest person he had ever known. Her resilience ran as deep as her love for her family. Peggy's strength wasn't just in how she endured, but in how she continued to give, love, and nurture-no matter what she faced or where she was.

Her love was the foundation of her family's lives. Peggy always said that being a mother made her happiest. She considered herself lucky to watch her children grow, support them through life's ups and downs, and share in their many joys.

Her steady strength and deep love will live on in the lives she touched-especially in the hearts of her children and grandchildren, who carry forward her spirit of perseverance and unconditional love.

We will miss her profoundly.

We are so sorry....we didn't get near enough time with Peggy and our hearts go out to all of you. When I faced some similar health issues, she was the first to call me and offer support. We loved her too, and are thinking of all of you...

With love,
Alison, David, Hunter and Caroline.....

I remember the 1st time I met Peggy,it was in our house in Hollis Queens she was my brother's girlfriend and she was so polite and friendly to me . that was in 1962 and we've been close friends since then . she will be so dearly missed and will always remain in my prayers. PS I never knew her middle name was Clara like the song from the 60s
