Jean loved playing bridge, and she did so with great fun! She was a good story teller and always had a smile on her face.

All of us on Blue Court in Nipomo are stunned and saddened to hear today of Jean´s passing almost a month ago. The last time we saw Jean - just a few weeks ago - she was braving the rain to replant a replanted plant. "Gardening guru" perfectly describes Jean; she had a green thumb that brought beauty to the neighborhood. Moreover, Jean´s gentle, nurturing heart cultivated a large, loving family; our pleasure was seeing their joyful reunions over the years.

I met Jean 69 years ago when we started in the nursing program at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, and we stayed in close touch all these years. Jean lit up a room when she came in, had a great sense of humour, and was always a warm and welcoming person. We will cherish our memories forever.
