Margaret Sanders

Sanders, Margaret at 91, the oldest daughter of Col. Harland Sanders, founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2001. Famous in her own right as a world class portrait sculptress, her works in many public places, for famous Americans such as Norman Rockwell, Danny Thomas, her Father and many others will remind her descendants and friends around the world of her amazing talent, charming hospitality and flame haired beauty. Her autobiography, "The Colonel's Secret Eleven Herbs And A Spicy Daughter", chronicles most of her more-than-unusual life, from correspondence with Einstein to searching for Atlantis to coming up with Take Home Only KFC Outlets. She leaves behind, her younger sister, Mildred Ruggles of Lexington, KY; three children, Harland (Donna) Adams of Merritt Island, FL; Josephine (John) Wurster of Ocean Ridge, FL and Trigg (Molly) Adams of Coconut Grove, FL; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and countless friends in every corner of the world. Memorial Services will be held Thursday, October 18, 2001 at 2 PM at SCOBEE-COMBS-BOWDEN FUNERAL HOME, corner of US Hwy #1 & N.E. 15th Avenue, Boynton Beach.
