Margaret Stork Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Sep. 19 to Sep. 21, 2004.
Stork Margaret O. Legaard Stork. Margaret, 93, passed away on September 17, 2004 at Hillcrest Assisted Living in Wayzata, MN. Her parents, five siblings, and husband, Adrian C. Stork, precede her in death. She actively celebrated her 93 birthday on September 7th complete with the usual laughter and noise supplied by her entire family. Born to Norwegian homesteaders in Fortuna, North Dakota on September 7, 1911, she was the fourth of ten children. Raised in a hardworking Lutheran farm family, she retained the appreciation of the land and all things growing, had a passionate love of all animals, and absolute devotion to family. Pride and love of her Norwegian heritage has been instilled in her family through keeping Norwegian traditions and sharing life stories as a Norwegian girl raised in a Norwegian speaking family and community. She was proud of her grand children's choosing and graduating from St. Olaf College and the continued involvement of her entire family in the life of that college. Their marrying spouses with Norwegian heritage completed what she considered a perfect world! Her caring, loving presence impacted all of our lives. That meant working in our gardens, caring for pets ranging from horses to lizards, dogs and cats, and being actively present in our lives. Her gift to her family was the selfless giving of her love to us all, lavishly sprinkled with a sense of humor, fun and boundless energy. She was the ultimate Mother to three generations and is Unforgettable. Her legacy lives on in those who survive her. Daughter Adrienne Morrison and husband Truxtun, grand daughter Mimi Bendickson and husband Mark, and grand son Truxtun, Jr. and wife Dana. Her adored and adoring great grand children are Mac & Adie Bendickson and Bradford, Tully and Ginny Morrison. She is unforgettable and her family will remember Her with Love Forever. A memorial service will be held at Wayzata Community Church at 1:00 PM on Wednesday Sept. 22nd. Private interment will be at Lakewood Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the Wayzata Community Church "Memorial Fund". David Lee Funeral Home Wayzata 952-473-5577
