Margaret Robinson Umberger

Margaret Robinson Umberger  SALT LAKE CITY - Margaret died Sept. 26, 2002 from complications of pneumonia.  She was bornFeb. 26, 1924 in Superior, WY to John Earl Robinson and Harriet Hanna Payne. She married Glen P. Umberger on Nov. 28, 1980 in Las Vegas, NV and they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on April 11, 1995.  Margaret filled a mission in the Northern States from 1946 to 1947, serving under President Creed Hayman. Margaret served as Executive Secretary to several Salt Lake County commissioners, including LaMont Gunderson and Ward Holbrook, retiring in 1987. She loved dogs and cats, and was a talented oil painter, an excellent cook, enjoyed her garden and had many loyal friends. She is survived by her husband Glen; his children, Valerie (Ariel E.) Smith, Bountiful; Forrest (Jan) Umberger, Valdosta, GA; and his grandchildren; cousins: Earl and Della and Kenneth R. Payne of Syracuse; Lucille Booth of Salt Lake City; Cleo Vowyer of Sandy; Kathleen Lloyd of Santa Monica, CA and Florence Bohan of Burley, ID. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 3, 2002 at 12 noon at the Capitol Hill 2nd Ward Chapel, 413 North West Capitol Street, where family and friends may call from 10:45 -11:45 a.m. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, Utah.
