NEWPORT NEWS - Margaret Anna Harrison Wilson, 92, passed away on Monday, Dec. 8, 2008.
She was the daughter of William Benjamin and Mariah Burchette Harrison, born May 12, 1916, in Roanoke, Va., raised in Asheville, N.C., and moved to Newport News in 1948. She worked in the Newport News School System for 23 years and enjoyed working around children. She was a charter member of Faith Presbyterian Church and past elder, deacon and Sunday school teacher.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, George Jeffroy Wilson; her beloved twin sister, Mary Maney; sisters, Dorothy Clark and Sue Chapman; and grandson, Troy Wilson.
She is survived by her sons, George Thomas Wilson (Sherry) of Bradenton, Fla., William David Wilson (Leslie) of Newport News; daughter, Mary Suzanne Wilson Gray (Randy)of Carrollton, Va.; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and expecting two more great-grandchildren in 2009.
She loved spending time with her family, going to the Outer Banks, bird watching, taking care of her cats, and watching sports on TV. She will be remembered by her family and the community as a kind and loving woman, who loved the Lord and lived by his word.
The family would like to express our thanks to those at St. Frances Nursing Center, who took such good care of our loved one.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, at Peninsula Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 15, 2008, at Faith Presbyterian Church in Newport News with the Rev. Charles Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Faith Presbyterian Church, 657 Harpersville Road, Newport News, VA 23601.

To the Wilson Family
Mrs. Wilson was a real lady. We will miss her everytime when I,vi and paula go by her room. God has a new angle to watch over us.

I new Mrs. Wilson since she was our school secretary at South Morrion she was always a sweet mannered peron with a smile. I will miss her and to Tommy, Bill and Susie I do feel your loss.
