Dear Nancy and Peter and your extended Family,
I was hoping your mother would live to becaome a centenarian, she certainly had the right attitude to live that long. The last time I visited her, she had been bowling in the morning and mentioned that she wished she had a job!! All this at the young age of eighty-eight.
Your family were the best neighbours one could ever have. Your father's one-liners and jokes as well as his "get-ups" kept the neighbood in fits of laughter. He built a garage and the neighbours thought it would fall down in the next windstorm, funny it is still standing to this day.
Your mother was a wonderful compliment to your father's humour. She was so talented. Nancy went off to birthday parties dressed in pretty smoked dresses done by hand by Marg. Peter was a curious child who asked many "WHY" questions often followed by "because WHY!" Both of you were easy to spot in the neighbourhood, you both had that wonderful red hair inherited from your mother. Lucky for my brother, and me Ken and Marg loved to go out in the evenings and we got to baby-sit you. This was a double pleasure as you were both such good kids and the Woollings had a TV long before my folks owned one.
My mother was not one to cry over spilled milk, but the day the Woollings moved from our neighbourhood, my mother shed a few tears, feeling that she would never again have such wonderful neighbours and she was right. Marg's passing is like the close of an era, the setting of the sun after a glorious day. Marg was pure sunshine and joy throughout her long life.
Love to all,
Enjoy those wonderful memories of your fabulous parents.

My sincere sympathy at the loss of your Mother. I remember both your parents very well when they were good friends with my parents Red and Janetta Friel during the days of Babe Ruth Baseball at Lansdowne Park. I was just young then but remember how much my parents enjoyed when they would visit our home. My prayers are with you during this sad time.

City View Curling Club will not be the same without our dear Margaret. She always had a lovely smile and a kind word for everyone. Some of us are out in Edmonton attending the trials and unfortunately will not be able to give our condolences to all the family in person. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We too will miss her.
