I grew up on Julian Dr., across the street from the Zoffels. I have many fond memories of playing with Gigi, Annie and Susie in the 60's and early 70's. Incredibly, Mr. and Mrs. Zoffel would let me sleep over and even join them for dinner...what's one more kid in the house! I also remember their basement being transformed into a spooky fun house during Halloween. I also recall the family letting me use one of their swim passes so I could get into Penn Aqua for free. No matter how many kids were around, Mrs. Zoffel always seemed to be calmly in charge of the household and never got frazzled. I am sorry to hear of her passing.
My deepest sympathy is extended to the entire Zoffel family.

My condolences to all the family. I have wonderful childhood memories thanks to your mom and dad and the whole Zoffel family. From learning a song on the piano (the only one I can still play today) to fantastic Halloween parties with square dancing and bobbing for apples and late night TV watching The Twilight Zone. Thanks for the memories! She will be remembered in my prayers as will all of you! Much Love, Maureen

To the Zoffel family. Our sincere condolences to the family in your loss.
So many great memories of your parents and family when we lived next door as a bunch of kids.
Your mom was such a good friend to our mother and while there are many fond memories of your mother the one that stands out to me and the one that I have thought about over the years is when my friend was moving in to attend PITT.
Four of us helped move him out to the university and got in during the early evening hours. I called your parents to say hello and the next thing you know wss that my friends and myself were invited over for dinner. And dinner it was. You would have thought that my friends were your parents friends and then again they were!!!!
They made us feel so very welcomed. There is n doubt that many others had the same experience that we had on that Friday evening.
,ay happy memories help you through this difficult time. We are thinking about all of you
Sincerely
Pat and Tonya Leonard
